We offer a variety of different types of massage to suit everyone's needs from deep therapeutic massage to massage for relaxation and stress relief. Can be used as an adjunct to osteopathic treatment or on its own as a regular maintenance treatment to prevent the accumulation of aches, pains and injury.
A deep therapeutic massage used to release muscular tension by breaking up adhesions & scar tissue. Reduced muscle tension can increase joint mobility, reduce pain and inflammation by stimulating blood supply to the tissues.
Often used before osteopathic treatment to soften and prepare the person for manipulation. Also helpful as part of pre-event training to minimise injury, and post-event to encourage tissue repair. Ultrasound, G5, passive resisted stretches and trigger point release are also used if appropriate. Maintenance treatment can also be of benefit to prevent recurrence of repetitive work strain:
A firm but relaxing massage that works directly on all muscle groups, removing stiffness and soreness, easing tension and restoring balanced muscular function. May also help calm the mind.
A very slow and gentle massage technique aimed at increasing lymphatic and circulatory flow. This helps eliminate toxins and speed up healing. It is widely used to treat patients suffering from oedema, post-exercise muscular pain, post-surgical inflammation and can help those on weight loss programmes.
This is a quick effective way to relax and relieve muscle tension. No oils are used and the client normally sits fully clothed while the therapist massages the back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands and scalp by applying pressure to specific points on the skin helping you feel refreshed and revitalized. It can also be used instead of needles as an alternative to acupuncture for children for example.
This is a gentle holistic massage that takes the special needs of the pregnant woman into consideration. It is firm but also relaxing and can help ease the general aches and pains of pregnancy, improve circulation, sleep and reduced stress levels.
